Larry Gurwin, managing director of Corporate Research Consulting BV, has more than 20 years of experience as an investigative and research consultant specializing in enhanced due diligence and fraud. From March 2015 to October 2021, he was senior director - EMEA in the London office of Guidepost Solutions, managing and conducting investigations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Earlier in his career, he served as head of investigations in the Milan, Italy, office of Kroll Associates. He has also been a U.S. Senate investigator and an award-winning investigative journalist for, among others, The Economist and Time Magazine. He is the author of "The Calvi Affair," a book on Italy's Banco Ambrosiano scandal, and co-author (with Peter Truell) of "False Profits," a book on the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) scandal. The Financial Times rated "False Profits" one of the 10 best business books of the year. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
